About us

MPA Veterinary Medicines and Additives is the export unit of Grupo PH-Albio (Barcelona, Spain). PH-Albio started its activities in 1989. Our goal is to provide effective, competitive and practical tools to face the challenges of animal production and to help our customers to achieve the best possible results with total guarantee of quality, safety and respect for the environment.

We develop and export to more than 50 countries around the world nutritional supplements and veterinary therapeutic solutions to maximize the health and performance of animals.

PH-Albio has 2 manufacturing plants: AlbioFerm and PH-Ibérica, located in the province of Barcelona. Grupo PH-Albio also includes Eurotradium, a division focused on the commercialization of minerals for different industries.

Since its beginnings more than 30 years ago, our mission has been to provide effective, competitive and practical tools to solve the different challenges of animal production. We persevere to maximize the benefits achieved by our customers with total guarantee of quality, safety and sustainability.

We are committed and involved in the production of safe and residue-free food. We are also convinced that nature offers a wide variety of compounds that allow us to fight diseases effectively. Our work consists of bringing these solutions closer to the professionals of the sector to allow them to produce efficiently, reserving drugs for when they are really indispensable.

History of Grupo PH-Albio

FOUNDATION 1989

Commercialization of veterinary medicines

The history of Grupo PH-Albio begins in 1989, with the foundation of PH-Ibérica by a group of veterinarians closely linked to the veterinary pharmaceutical industry. PH-Ibérica’s mission was to offer nutritional additives and drugs to the Spanish market that would help to optimize costs production, mainly antibiotic growth promoters (AGPs) and coccidiostats.

FOUNDATION 2012

International export unit

In 2012, MPA Veterinary Medicines and Additives was founded in order to distribute PH-Albio additives internationally. Currently, our products are already distributed in more than 50 countries around the world.

INCORPORATION 2021

Commercialization of minerals for industrial use

At the beginning of 2021, to diversify and take advantage of synergies, Grupo PH-Albio acquired Eurotradium, a company engaged in the marketing and export of minerals for various industrial uses.

ACQUISITION 2021

New factory acquisition

That same year, Grupo PH-Albio acquired a new production plant in the province of Barcelona, which has more than 3,500 m2 and allows the company to meet the continuous growth it has experienced.

Manufacturing and marketing of nutritional additives

In the early 90’s, the company’s management visualized that the future of the sector would lead to a drastic reduction of pharmaceuticals in animal production. To address this conviction, in 1992, AlbioFerm S.L. was founded, dedicated to the manufacture and commercialization of various types of additives aimed to improve health and performance of food animals, reducing AGPs use.

In 2017, PH-Albio was created to encompass all the company’s businesses.

2022 FOUNDATION

MPA México- North Tradium Global Technology

New subsidiary of Grupo PH-Albio in Mexico

At the end of 2022 the company opened a subsidiary in Mexico, in order to improve logistics and to be able to serve the American market in a more agile way.

In Grupo PH-Albio we continue working to provide efficient and quality solutions to the animal nutrition sector.
